Personal Growth & Transformation

A note from Janelle:

Personal growth work is for those who want more. It is for those who are tired of feeling stuck or for those who believe their life was meant for something greater. It is for those who have tried many different things but none of which have led to lasting change. Personal growth work is for those brave souls who are ready to dig in and begin the sacred journey of self-discovery. This is not about bully-button gazing, but an honest exploration and inquiry into all of the many parts of us that make up our unique and special selves for the sake of releasing our hearts to a world that is starving for love, grace and authenticity.

This journey is never one that is done in isolation or alone. It is a journey that invites you to fully experience the abundance of God’s grace and love. This is the same grace and love that has already held you in every moment of your life and will continue to hold you every step of the way. As we encounter and experience the depths of God’s love, we come face to face with our truest and most beautiful self as well as all those aspects of our experience and self that hold us back from living out of our deep heart and God’s call to love.

Think about it. God already knows our every thought, sensation, feeling, and our “going out and coming in.” We are the ones that actually live alienated from our own lives and selves. Engaging in experientially based personal growth work will open the doorway for you to comehome. Your home. The home where you, the true you, abides in the loving presence of the Divine.

Personal growth work engages our courage to experience life as it is, in the moment. It is about stepping into what is deeply true and happening inside of you  – right now – in this present moment. It requires the willingness to “be with” what is, rather than to deny, push away, numb out, or defend against. And it is within this raw authenticity and connectedness (with yourself, God and possibly your coach), that profound shifts can happen deep within your heart and believe it or not, your mind. This is the nature of true transformation. It is about stepping into the Light – and allowing the Light of God’s love to meet you – just as you are. It is through these new and deeper experiences that transformation just naturally occurs.

Perhaps you have proclaimed like many others, “I know what is true in my head – that God loves me and that I am worthy, but I just don’t feel it.” To bring about a congruency between head and heart, the heart must experience what the head may think it already believes. This is why personal growth and transformational work is rooted in experience rather than lecture or didactic teaching. Coaching and personal growth groups are meant to provide a safe place for you to gently let go of your common defenses that keep you from feeling and perhaps facing your inner truth. The invitation is to be real. Nothing to do. No striving needed. It is an invitation to simply be.

When we allow our self to actually be with our self in this open and honest way, we often gain incredibly deep insight and understanding into our own soul. And with this newly found understanding, we will have the power to make different choices for ourselves. Thus transformation and change can begin to permeate both our inner and outer life. When we remain cut off and in denial or defended against feelings or ways of being, there is no path forward. We are sadly doomed to continue functioning in the way that we have always functioned.
